How to import and export contacts
Easily manage your contacts by importing new ones or exporting your existing list. This helps you keep your scheduling data up to date and reuse contact details across tools.
Before you begin
- Use a CSV file for imports
- Make sure your CSV file includes at least:
- Name
- Email address
Import contacts

This feature is in limited availability and available to select users.
Step 1 – Upload your CSV file
- Go to your Contacts page
- Select + Add contact, then Import contacts from a file
- Upload your CSV file
Step 2 – Map your fields
Next, match each column in your file to a Calendly contact field. If you don’t want to import a column, leave it unmapped or choose Exclude this field when mapping.
- Each column from your file appears on the left
- Use the dropdown to select a matching Calendly contact field on the right
- If a CSV column doesn’t match an existing Calendly field, create a new field. Choose a number, text, tag, currency, or date field to add a custom field.
Required fields:
- You must map:
- Name
You can’t continue without these.
Step 3 – Choose how to handle duplicates
- Select Continue
- Choose how to handle duplicate contacts
- Select Continue
- Review your import, then select View contacts
Your contacts will appear after the page refreshes.
Note
- Contacts created in Calendly automatically include first and last names.
- When importing, you can map these fields manually.
Valid formats for import
Use the following formats when importing contact data into Calendly.
You can import personal LinkedIn profiles and company pages in several formats.

Date
Dates must use the YYYY-MM-DD format.
Example: 2026-05-20
Country
Use the full country name or a supported abbreviation.
Examples:
- United States of America
- USA
Timezone
Use an IANA timezone format.
Example: America/Los_Angeles
Phone
Phone numbers must include a country code to support international numbers.
Example: +1 555 123 4567
Currency
You can import currency values in multiple formats.
Supported formats:
- Numbers only: 20, 21, 22
- Prefix format: USD 20, $20
Suffix format: 20 USD, 20$
Tip
To select all contacts at once, first select any contact to open the bottom toolbar. Then, select Select all [x] contacts, where [x] is your total number of contacts.
Export contacts
- Go to your Contacts page
- Select the contact(s) you want to export
- Select Export
- Select Open file
